|Well it has been a challenging weekend being with out power due to a wind storm that hit on Friday. With the storm taking out our power for 3 days made me think of when storms REALLY hit families and how their lives are changed forever. We take for granted our daily routine of getting kids off to school, cleaning house, grocery shopping, making dinner, helping with homework, baseball practice and then bed time, day in and day out that we forget that these days are blessing. When children get sick has to be the biggest storm that can hit a family. The daily routine now changes to dr. appointments, hospitals, treatments and taking care of a very sick child. Beads of Courage is a program that helps children endure the treatments that they have to go though to get back to their daily routine. I was blessed to be asked by Beads of Courage to bring a child's bead to life for a really great fundraiser, please go check it out. There are 10 beads to choose from 10 different bead artists designed by children and a really cool book that will be ready for purchase soon, my bead is the LIFE Heart bead. These are a limited edition beads that will not be reproduced. Please support BOC if you can, Here is a cut and paste link to where you can purchase the book and beads: http://www.beadsofcourage.org/category_8/jewelry-and-apparel.htm|
